THE CHALLENGE WE ADDRESS

The school run: a massive, unmanaged urban transport challenge

Every morning, millions of predictable, repeatable journeys occur in total isolation. Without a digital layer to connect them, families travel alone, schools lack visibility, and Local Authorities lack data. The current lack of coordination creates daily gridlock.

25%

Of peak-hour urban traffic is driven by the school run

Immediate congestion relief in holidays

£11bn

Annual economic cost of UK traffic congestion

Predictable peak-time traffic volume

£2.3bn

Authority spend on school transport

Systemic budget pressures

3,100+

Annual child casualties on UK roads during peak hours

A critical safety and health issue

Coordinated travel for every child.

KIGO is the UK's first AI platform designed to measure what works and scale what matters to fix the school run.

Transforming the school run into a managed asset

Using AI and behavioural science, KIGO creates the evidence base for SAFER, CLEANER, and MORE INCLUSIVE school journeys.

How KIGO Works

KIGO maps travel patterns to provide a unified digital layer for smarter, safer, and more affordable school mobility.

01

Map

Identify hidden travel patterns and security risks across regions.

02

Match

Sync journeys and coordinate schedules through intelligent data.

03

Measure

Scale what matters with real-time impact data on air and safety.

Who We Serve

KIGO provides a trusted, intelligent platform for every stakeholder involved in the daily journey to school.

Schools

Reduce gate-side congestion and improve safeguarding with clear evidence for air quality and climate goals.

Families

Access trusted travel options, reduce commuting stress, and gain confidence in a safer, more active school run.

Local Authorities

Gain live school-run intelligence to target hotspots and design safer streets with real mobility data.

Transport Providers

Optimise routes and respond to neighbourhood demand with data-driven scheduling for school bus networks.

Founder Story

KIGO was born from a simple observation: on my street, five families were making the exact same journey at the exact same time, yet we were all isolated. I saw the systemic failure in our streets—traffic building, children navigating dangerous gates, and the environmental cost of uncoordinated travel.

The school run is the UK’s largest predictable transport event, yet it has been historically ignored by digital infrastructure. As a parent, I felt the stress; as an entrepreneur, I saw an optimisation problem that AI could solve. Having helped scale Tevva to a team of 350 and raising $150m for zero-emission technology, I knew how to transform broken systems. KIGO applies that same rigorous, civic-tech approach to the school gate. Our platform isn't just about apps—it's about building the school-run intelligence and evidence platform that the UK needs to lead in global mobility. We are here to help councils and schools move beyond guesswork. By using responsible AI, we provide the data to measure what works and the tools to scale what matters. My ambition is for the UK to set the international standard for safe, inclusive, and decarbonised school travel, starting with the very first journey of the day.
